This powerful and brutal war film is written and directed jointly by Alex Garland (who made recent film Civil War) and Ray Mendoza, and is based on Mendoza’s experiences during the Iraq War as a US Navy SEAL, detailing his experience with his platoon at the 2006 Battle of Ramadi. The young cast includes British actors Will Poulter and Cosmo Jarvis (star of recent streaming success Shogun)
and D’Pharoah Woon-A-Tai playing Mendoza. Gritty and action-packed, the film has been a success in the US and UK.
