Transamazonia

A visceral and powerful drama, Pai Marais’s remarkable film opens strikingly, deep in the Amazon jungle where Rebecca, the daughter of a missionary, is declared a ‘miracle’ after surviving a plane crash as a child. Some years later, her fame as a miracle worker keeps the family mission going.
