Malta Story

This 1953 British war film is set during the air defence of Malta during the Siege of Malta in the Second World War, with the film featuring real footage of the locations at which the battle was actually fought, as it also tells the love story between RAF reconnaissance pilot Peter Ross (Alec Guinness) and Maria Gonzar (Muriel Pavlow), a local Maltese woman. Also starring Jack Hawkins,
Flora Robson and Anthony Steel, the blend of archival footage and real Malta locations, the film is a remarkable record of period of time not to be forgotten.
