A fascinating and insightful biopic on the early life of Italian novelist Grazia Deledda, Love and Glory – The Young Deledda (L’amore e la gloria – La giovane Deledda) marks filmmaker Maria Grazia Perria’s narrative film debut as it follows the early life and artistic struggles of the Sardinian novelist (impressively and sensitively played by Marisa Serra), the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.
