For the Love of A Woman

In For The Love of a Woman (Per amore di una donna), Esther (Mili Avital), an
American woman in her forties, embarks on a mission in 1970s Israel with the
aid of a local university professor to try and unearth the secrets of her family’s
past, and in particular find a woman who lived in Palestine in the 1930s. They
must untangle the story of Yehudit (a mesmeric Ana Ularu), who arrives in a
settler’s village in the 1930s and entrances three men who live there. A playful
and ultimately tragic love story provides a remarkable revelation for Esther.
